Car Parking Policy
Car Parks
The Club’s two car parks are solely for the use of members, guests and visitors (when the barrier is open only) while using Club facilities, and for staff and contractors working at the club.
Access Control of the Car Park
During the day access to the main car park is controlled by the use of membership cards and/or card readers. On entry to, and exit from the rear car park, members will need to activate the ID sensor on the right-hand side of the driveway with their membership card or phone. Vehicles exiting the car park will have priority right of way.
Pedestrians should enter and exit the car park via the steps to/from the underground car park, and not walk in the driveway.
Barrier
In the evenings and at weekends the barrier may be left open. The provisions in this policy apply whether the barrier is open or closed, and to both the main car park and the small car park in front of reception.
Between the club opening time and 6pm members may park in the car parks for a maximum of four continuous hours while using Club facilities. You are expected to be on club premises if your vehicle is in the club car park. After 6pm until the car parks close there is no limit on the length of time you may park, provided you are in the club.
The car parks close at 23.55 (or later when special events are running) and re-opens at 06.45 Monday to Saturday and 08.45 Sunday morning. Overnight parking is not generally permitted; however, this may be waived if circumstances such as injury or ill health render the member/guest unable to drive.
Visitors and guests arriving for matches etc will normally be visiting at evenings or weekends when the barrier will be open. If the barrier is closed the car park is not open to visitors and guests – they will need to use and pay for nearby public parking.
Front car park
The front car park (outside the main entrance to the club) should be considered as an overflow car park, to be used only at busy times when the rear car park is full.
Access to this car park is normally barred by removable bollards. The reason for the bollards is a) to prevent non-members parking there, and b) to reduce traffic in an area where people are constantly coming and going, some of them children.
The bollards should be removed by reception staff at busy times to allow free access. However if you arrive at the club, find the rear car park full and the bollards in place, please contact reception who will open the front car park for you.
Other matters
Several spaces are reserved for disabled parking. To use one of these, a valid blue badge permit must always be displayed.
Drivers must park within the designated marked bays and to take care to avoid damage to other cars and fixed objects within the car park. Emergency exits (marked yellow boxes) must not be blocked at any time.
The car park may not be used for social gatherings.
All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. The Club will not be held responsible for any loss, theft, accident, damage, or injury suffered or inflicted by users or motor vehicles. Any accidents or incidents should be reported to Club Management.
Children or animals must not be left unattended in a vehicle at any time.
Please do not drop litter in the car park. Rubbish should be taken home or brought into the club for disposal in the internal bins.
Vehicles carrying dangerous flammable liquids, or materials of a harmful nature are not permitted in the car park at any time.
Repairs to vehicles and engine-testing must not be carried out in the club’s car park, other than by personnel from emergency roadside assistance organisations.
Smoking, fires, and barbeques are prohibited.
Anyone breaching these rules may have their parking privilege suspended and/or have their membership revoked.
